These spaces

This you see is the Place Massena, Nice. A fine example, in my opinion, as we have been able to rethink a public space until a few years ago very busy and chaotic, back to a common use: pedestrians, veiled (bicycles), trams, street entertainment, markets (in time Christmas).
The main street, as you can see from the video below, was closed to traffic (except in some places, but only to the crossing), the sidewalks were widened and built a very efficient network of trams (it passes one and all ' I always see a different horizon, or nearly so) and I would say attractive.

Even here the traders are initially complained, but now there's a lot more people on the streets. At the same time have been enhanced underground parking (very expensive actually) for those who will not or can not use public transport.

Overall, residents and tourists now have more opportunities to move and move better. Sure, you have invested a lot, there have been difficulties in the transitional phase, but now everything has improved. Sustainable mobility for all ....
