Hoon and Road Safety. The responsibilities of the samples
I read an article published by an Australian newspaper in which it is reported that Louis Hamilton, the young star Circus F, was fined with 700 euros for some pranks committed on board a Mercedes (street) in front of some fans: in particular could purposely skirted wheels and a counter-structure shown in the car. Things you can do a sample of course, but that, if emulated, by a boy could create serious problems in terms of safety.
The facts relate to March during the days of the GP in Melbourne, but the thing that intrigued me was the reason for the penalty (not relevant for him, of course): reminding him that he is a champion and that he should be a model positive for the young, the court has considered the antisocial behavior of Hamilton. The expression used is " Hoon ", derogatory term used in Australia and New Zealand to describe a clumsy person with antisocial behavior, which means speeding, squealing tires, racing road speed, etc..
I reported this case because often, to plan a road safety campaign, we seek testimonial level of Hamilton: big names that attract attention. But to be credible must be consistent, otherwise it jumps around. I think the main contribution that, in general, and beyond the specific case, the drivers (of cars and motorcycles) can give is to explain why the track you can do things wax and road no: road conditions , security guards, training and technical training, training, technology on board, etc.. All things that are not out of the circuit.
